Self-Discovery: Baseline
Journaling doesn’t come naturally to most. As a starting point, I would challenge you to start with a baseline for where you are. Something to refer back to. Keep in mind that the answers to these questions are not static answers that you are locking in for a lifetime. It is the baseline for how you feel TODAY. Your answers could change tomorrow. And I hope they do. I hope the way you describe yourself changes, from your perspective and others. I hope your growth leads you to a place that you show yourself grace, compassion and forgiveness and have a difficult time answering #4. I hope the worst thing that ever happened to you becomes one of the best things that ever happened to you in that it fostered change. I hope you release bitterness and victim mindset and start moving forward. I hope you find beauty and understanding in your regrets. Stop thinking in what-ifs and start following where the Spirit leads. I hope you become the most loving version of yourself and become vulnerable enough to ask for the love you need in return. And most of all, I hope you grow to earnestly believe that God has good, good plans for you. Because He does.
If you don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to the below in one sitting, consider answering them one day at a time or do 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10 and then 11, please don’t rush through with short answers. I tend to journal conversationally, as if I were writing someone a letter. The recipient of this gift is future you.

10. What makes you feel the most loved?
11. Do you believe that God has good plans for you?
This isn’t a dead-end exercise to depress you; we will be getting into all of these questions/answers in more detail and will ultimately use it to kick start what I hope will be a beautiful journey of transformation in your life.
